Polkaswap - Next Generation AMM DEX

I would adopt KISS and try to keep it a simple shill.

Looking back at the last few months in crypto it has become clear that DEXes are eating CEXs. Current generation of DEX have many problems - bots, fragmented liquidity, no cross chain asset swap (uniswap is limited to ERC 20s), slow speed and ridiculous fees.

Polkaswap is the next generation non-custodial AMM DEX being built by Soramitsu foundation (supported by Web3 grant) and would run on Sora V2 network. It would have serious advantages over current players like

Polkaswaps Aggregate Liquidity Technology (ALT) would allow for various liquidity sources to be connected to polkaswap and when the user calls the swap function the trade will be fulfilled from these different liquidity sources to get the best possible rate and least slippage, all within the same transaction. Imagine this - half of your trade could get fulfilled at uniswap and other half at Binance (yes CEX orderbooks can also be linked to polkaswap) to get you the best deal.

Sora V2 can support upto 20,000 tx/sec. and thus transactions costs would be negligible.

By virtue of being connected to the polkadot ecosystem, it would enable cross chain asset swaps between assets of parachains, blockchains connected to the polka relay chain via bridges.

Token

$PSWAP The PSWAP token is the native token of polkaswap which is used to incentivize liquidity providers. It is deflationary in nature wrt to the Total Supply which is 100 million.

There is no presale, no private investors and no ICO but here are the ways you can get your hands on the token if you wish -

1. Get XOR - XOR is the native token of the Sora network on which polkaswap will go live. Holding XOR will get you an airdrop of 94 VAL/XOR, snapshot date will be announced soon. You can use VAL to provide liquidity on polkaswap eg. of XOR-VAL pair to farm pswap tokens. Just holding VAL will also give you pswap but I will cover that in a future article.

2. Get Sora waifu NFT - Around 10,000 NFTs came with a hidden easter egg of 100 PSWAP tokens each. They sold out but still can be bought on opensea at a slightly higher price though, obviously.

3. *Through bonding DOT and KSM * - The team has reserved 10% of the Pswap tokens (10 million tokens) to distribute proportionately to community

members who agree to bond their assets for two years during the upcoming KSM and DOT parachain auctions.

4. Farming - Not confirmed yet. You might be able to farm $PSWAP with $XOR. A farming interface is rumoured soon.
