Inequality and the Dichotomy of Non-Profit vs. For-Profit

For decades, centuries even, entrepreneurs had the choice between a for-profit company and a non-profit organization. Many tried to find balance between the two, often with mixed results. Thankfully this distinction appears to be coming to an end!

Why? Companies built with altruistic purpose at their core are now becoming more profitable!

In these times of record inequality, a majority of customers and employees WANT a more humanist approach — and that is reflecting in both markets. When things align like this, it becomes easier to balance profit-making and charitable impact.

“Empowering ordinary people to make money and close the equality gap will be THE killer feature of the 2020s. The companies that do this will be the big winners of the next decade.” [source]
