🌟 Ecosystem Spotlight: Moonbeam Network

Subspace Network is archiving the full history of Moonbeam Network in real-time. Moonbeam is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract platform that allows developers to build secure multi-chain dApps.

Moonbeam provides developers with unmatched Ethereum compatibility including full support for the Eth tool stack, Solidity smart contracts, H160 addresses, and popular wallets like MetaMask.

Their Ethereum compatibility allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and dApp frontends to Moonbeam with minimal changes.

Moonbeam completed its launch on Polkadot in January β€˜22 which occurred shortly after a broadly supported crowdloan campaign, which received over 35M DOT (~$944M USD at the time the crowdloan ended) contributed by over 200,000 supporters around the world.

Moonbeam is a PoS blockchain where transactions are organized into blocks by nodes called collators.

While tipping is possible, 80% of the fee is burned. Notably, the base fee on Moonbeam is static (rather than dynamic, like Ethereum today), and the block size is fixed.

Moonbeam’s Ethereum compatibility makes it an easy entry point to the Polkadot network which will enable dApps, smart contracts, decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that are built on Ethereum to expand to Moonbeam easily.

The Subspace Network team is thrilled to support Moonbeam with our Subspace Relayer to ensure the history of its blockchain remains accessible and is retained indefinitely.

By storing and validating multi-chain histories on our massively distributed permanent storage layer, Subspace will enable native cross-chain functionalities and further support a multi-chain future.
