Referendum 648, proposing to upgrade Polkadot relay chain runtime to v1.2.0, is currently passing almost unanimously (4.3 million DOT Aye, 5 DOT Nay).

Polkadot relay chain runtime v.1.2.0 update seems to focus on expanding functionalities, improving interoperability (Encointer, Snowbridge), enhancing developer tools (chain spec generator, debug prints), and making adjustments to existing systems (Treasury, Asset Hub). It's important to note that some changes are specific to either Kusama or Polkadot. As of this writing, 4.4 million DOTs are locked in favor of Aye, and 5 for Nay.
