BEEFY (Bridge Efficiency Enabling Finality Yielder) is now enabled on Polkadot!
The BEEFY protocol enables trustless cross-chain bridging and unlocks:
🔁 Polkadot <> Kusama Bridge
❄️ Snowbridge: Ethereum <> Polkadot
🌉 Hyperbridge: L1s & L2s <> Polkadot
Making Connections with BEEFY
Imagine you have lots of cool toys, but they're all in separate boxes (blockchains). You can't play with your favorite car from one box with your awesome robot from another. That's kind of how blockchains work sometimes.
Polkadot is like a giant playground where all your toys from different boxes can come together and play. BEEFY is a new helper on the playground. BEEFY builds special bridges between these boxes, so you can finally take your car and robot (and other toys) out to play together.
For Polkadot<>Kusama bridge (cousin blockchains), BEEFY makes it even easier for them to share their toys. On the other hand, Polkadot<>Ethereum bridge (Snowbridge), it lets your Ethereum toys come play on the Polkadot playground. Moreover, L1s & L2s<>Polkadot (Hyperbridge), BEEFY helps them connect with Polkadot too.
With BEEFY, all your favorite toys from different boxes can now play together, which makes the whole playground more fun and exciting.
