Subsquid Dev Log #6

After some well enjoyed holidays for our international team, including Christmas and New Years, we have quite a lot to look back at! Of course we don't like to keep you in the dark for long, so here is another update on our development progress. 💙

We quite recently uploaded the new homepage of the Open Ocean Council program and are also getting closer to the launch of our super limited and even more amazing Squid Squad NFTs, much more on that very soon! 🦑😎

In the ever-busy abyssal depths, where we keep our development team, the lack of sunlight brought many great results to our product development:

  • Subsquid hosted service: (Backend) Ported projects to a new mono-repo.
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io) Add authentication checks for better UX (hiding the things are not important to a user).
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io) Integrate email newsletter subscription.
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io) Fixed minor bugs on squid view page.
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io) Fixed links layout, added all necessary redirects as well as added 'back' navigation button to make better UX.
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io) Add UI Fixes for UI kit (buttons, inputs).
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io Fixed typo in endpoint for versions.
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io) Fixed the issue while fetching and updating project had different request/response models.
  • Subsquid hosted service: (app.subsquid.io) Fixed the issue while updating a project with empty logo caused failure.
  • Subsquid hosted service:(app.subsquid.io) Website url is now not required for Squid create/edit.
  • We have strengthen our team by getting on board one more developer who is now working on integrations (You will be notified soon on which one).
  • Started working on getting rid of polkadot/api dependency which increase syncing speed because of our own codec.
  • A new version of processor is developed and started testing for our partner (You soon will get informed who it is).
  • Added extrinsic id to the block header for new Squid archives.
  • Some core fixes and now project passes e2e test modulo typegen.
  • Ported and improved chain metadata explorer.
  • Implemented scale decoder for json data.
  • Typegen improvements.
