Deloitte Tohmatsu Group transforms the sports industry with Astar zkEVM

Deloitte Tohmatsu Group, led by Group CEO Kenichi Kimura, is proud to announce its NFT development tool's compatibility with the Astar zkEVM blockchain, managed by Stake Technologies Pte. Ltd. (Representative: Shun Ishikawa, hereinafter referred to as "Astar Network") and Startale Labs Pte. Ltd. (Representative CEO: Sota Watanabe, hereinafter referred to as "Startale Labs").

Astar zkEVM, utilizing Ethereum's Layer 2 technology with zero-knowledge proof (zk Proof), significantly enhances transaction efficiency, positioning Deloitte Tohmatsu as a frontrunner in the global Web3 domain.

Deloitte Tohmatsu has developed a baseball-themed NFT game app, a pioneering project on the Astar zkEVM. This game includes a digital baseball batting practice system where players earn NFT 'Emblems', adding a new growth element to the experience of young players improving their batting skills.

Further, Deloitte Tohmatsu supports diverse blockchain-based service development, holding and providing essential blockchain programs as APIs. In June 2023, these capabilities were integrated into "LIFE LOG BOX," a creator support platform on Polygon.

Japan Sports Agency “Sports × Technology Utilization Promotion Project”
The development of the application is part of the Reiwa 5th fiscal year Sports Industry Growth Promotion Project “Sports × Technology Utilization Promotion Project,” undertaken by Deloitte Tohmatsu. This project aims to provide opportunities to feel sports closer through the use of DX (Digital Transformation) and technology to utilize sports data, enhance the added value of sports, and create new revenue sources. It targets students at a junior high school baseball academy and conducts a demonstration project from January to February 2024.

"Web3 contributes to domestic economic growth and regional revitalization, with the tokenization of all assets being anticipated. Deloitte Tohmatsu has expanded its NFT development tools to AstarzkEVM for broader and more versatile deployment. Aiming to create world-leading examples, Astar Network aligns with our slogan 'Lead the way.' We will support the development of Web3 through our diverse expertise in collaboration with domestic companies and local governments." Hiroki Akahoshi Partner at Deloitte Tohmatsu
