Cancellation of the Polkadot&Friends x RMRK event

I am very torn to say that our RMRK event at Blacks Club London is being postponed due to high numbers of COVID-19 cases in the UK. This is very disappointing as quite a few members from the DotSama community were about to attend, including members of Chaos DAO, as well as individuals involved with other chains and Blacks Club members.

Even though this comes as very sad news, there are some other exciting things to come. I personally wouldn’t like to commit to any promises, but a few conversations were sparked with 2 Mayfair venues about hosting an NFT exhibition and talks. In an ideal scenario this would run for a week or month, and we’d get to introduce a whole range of individuals to the world that is DotSama, not just NFTs… and wouldn’t it have been a shame to have such a high interest in the event and no artworks on the walls? Indeed it would.

As a personal apology to everyone that expressed interest in attending, I’ve created NFTs which will offer a perk for when the event does take place. All interested attendees will be notified how to claim the NFTs via email.

I look forward to organising a great event in collaboration with Polkadot & Friends when there are better times to do so.
