Intro

A typical morning in cryptospace. Rushing through Telegram, Discord, Twitter, Subsocial and portofolio again and again, trying to digest everything that happened in the last 12 to 24 hours in Dotsama community...Luckily, i stumbled across Exiled Racers: "Another P2E, meh...or not?" "Hmm, art looks great! WTF" " :eyes: "

Regarding NFT's in general, in which recently im interested more and more, this is what im looking for:

• Artwork and the story behind it
• Utility and potential value
• Community ( quality, numbers, hype, engagement)

I have to say that Exiled Racers ticks all the above and im happy share everything ( well, not everything^^) from the information ive gathered that past few days.

EXR is a 3D-NFT project with a community driven play AND earn racing manager game as a bonus, aiming to bring e-Sports and Web 3.0 together.

Idea And Artwork

Originaly started as a low touch - high reward, simplified racing betting game, but quickly evolved into a high fidelity NFT project by gathering top notch 3D render artists like Luke Nil and Sanju from Estudi - Image (Adidas, Samsung, Salomon, Pfizer, Apple, etc.). Take a look below...Crazy details...

Worth noting that Estudi boys are equal partners with EXR team and also "Exiled Racers", fully commited to bring world class artwork into the project.

They build this retro futurism style blending these 90's techno aesthetics with an elevated design which is very interesting. Its an entire language..in terms of creativity.

Team is based in USA and working on the project since September 2021 and emerged from stealth mode mid February 2022, building the much needed community and hype as the mint phase approaches.

The core NFT's are Pilots, Racers and Boosters. While information about Racers and Boosters is limited (more on that later), Pilots are divided into 3 Factions:

• Mercenaries ( Mercs)

• Augments (Augs)

• Serfs

Each of the 3 factions has its own unique style and 3D appearance as well as its own rarity system and Lore behind it.

Breathtaking, limited run, hyper-realistic NFTs that attempt to redefine what quality and intricacy means for NFT design.

Play And Earn

This is not your usual play to earn game, where an endless grind is needed for minimal rewards or tokens with non-existant value and utility. Most of those games are dead within a few months after the initial hype. Exiled Racers is a play AND earn racing manager with prediction elements involved, as a bonus utility for the NFT holders. It is being built differently, as a low touch-high reward game, fast, competitive, without an on-chain token, growing by the community engagement. Team wants to create a club culture, where you feel you are like a part of it, being in and out fast, without spending the enormous amount of time, gamers used to do.

I had the chance to have a sneak-peak at the demo, the alpha version looks clear with nice UI while the game itself is simple: Pick your Pilot, pick your Racer and Booster (all have attributes), check your daily race track or upcoming tournaments (or invite friends to race), enter your best racing stack, win in-game currency or rare NFT loot. The winner is decided algorithmically and afaik the rank/rarity of the Pilot is not involved.

Moonbeam And Backers

Exiled Racers is builded on the Moonbeam Network. Moonbeam is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 chain, Polkadot parachain, allowing developers to deliver fast, low-cost, secure experiences. In addition, it brings the full potential and interoperability of Polkadot’s ecosystem.

The EXR team brings a unique mix of experience in software engineering, design, and web3 to this challenge. A combination of an event driven engagement format with high fidelity NFTs will enable a strong community around this project. Games are great way for web3 to grow its userbase, and I expect EXR to do exactly this on Moonbeam.

Ben, co-founder of EXR ( you can reach him in discord as #blr) was happy to provide some answers for the community, I managed to reach him and i was able to extract a little more information about the project... There you go:

• Art looks stunning, how big is the team behind EXR?

Team is:

-Myself -Craig, our backend solidity engineer who’s worked in the space for a while and has worked as creative tech technologist for many years. -Front end -Game Web GL -5-6 artists depending on the work at the time but 3 core artists which is estudi -We also have access to some of moonbeam team for some instances

• Nice, can you give us a backround of the team?Any previous projects you guys have worked in the past?

I was on Status.im with ex polka dot CMO Hutch. Yieldly.finance marketing lead for last year. Also worked at google for almost 10 years

-Summeet created the fico credit score algorithm and had run multiple companies including Brand Backer. He's working on the game managers algorithm. -Estudi Art boys have worked on all the big brands, Apple Nike, Adidas etc

• Current state of the game is alpha (private), can we get a sneak peak of how the game will be played?

Game is alpha yes, we have over 4K races done. We regularly release features to our small alpha group.

• In which NFT marketplace is EXR will be traded in the future?

NFT marketplace is in discussion right now — NFTtrade, Treasureland, and potentially Moonbean — all only discussions. We are also working with composable finance. This is an interesting one given how new and early we are into Moonbeam as a platform.

• What kind of rewards are to be expected from p2e game? Are those will have utility and hold some value? Long term commitment is crucial for the sector.

This is a high fidelity NFT project made by some of the worlds best 3d render artists — nft holder get access to a bonus play and earn game as part of an EXR club member. We are building and NFT community first as stated in our release blog. The game is an added community driving builder use to create fun and banter among individuals, guilds and DAOs. Its low touch high reward in terms of what you get out of the game against friends and community — its very much like a private racing club — this is the ultimate utility. In the bonus game, users will earn in game currency that can be used to various things in the game but this is not an on chain coin — for now anyway —and for many reasons;

One being weve seen too many games fail because they dont fully understand what gets the economy working smoothly. Its truly hard and requires significant knowledge and expertise (even the biggest are failing). We want to discover it with the community what works, understand our game's economy and decide what to do later. Secondly for our first drop we are looking for engaged community focused users who want help us grow the game and community as opposed to users wanting to make a quick buck — this is a club based community after all. If youre looking for a game that makes you money for grinding hours on end or hiring people to play for you all day and all night, this isnt the NFT community for you. Additionally we are US residents and put the entire team and company at risk by releasing tokens at this early stage. However, there is also possibilities for race sponsorships by different orgs, daos etc that want to sponsor prizes for racing — we have many ideas here and interested parties (including Moonbeam) We are also looking at NFT prize drops for major competition prizes which may come in many different forms. It may become very similar to the esports model. We will also be releasing exicting features of the game throughout the year that will continue to drive banter and enjoyment in the club.

• Whats the vision of the project?

We are building a high fidelity NFT project that gives you access to a low touch racing game club. As mentioned the vision is to become very much a fun club community for NFT lovers, gamers, DAOs and Guilds to enjoy friendly competition amongst each other (think dao vs dao racing or building your own guild and racing against each other or other guilds) tracked with leaderboards etc — without all the grind that most p2e games have atm. We are trying to bring NFT, esports, gaming and crypto in one private community club, a community only accessible by the high fidelity NFTs we release.
