Say hello to GLMR APES, the first sold-out NFT collection on Moonbeam! Our 1001 banana-loving Apes would like to welcome you to their jungle and share their visions with you!

Prior to the public sales ( January 17th, 2022), two secret minting sessions were opened to VIP and Early Apes to help them secure their NFTs at a discounted price.

The remaining 688 NFTs left for the launch were all sold in less than 3 minutes for 2 $GLMR each on our website: https://www.glmrapes.com/ .

A Happy Jungle!

As we wanted to build a project for the community, we decided to redistribute half of the sales to GLMR APES holders. However, instead of simply giving back 50% of the sales directly to the APES owners, we want to try to add value to the project in the long term.

That's why we decided to create a community wallet to stake/ invest these funds and redistribute the profits made (% determined by the community) through a weekly lottery system selecting a few lucky Apes to share the pot!

In addition, we implemented a 10% royalty system designed to sustain the project in the long run:

Half of these royalties (5%) will be transferred to the community wallet to increase the community funds and make your APES more valuable over time.
Half of the royalties (5%) will help the team to stay involved in the project.

Thanks to the initial 50% of the sales + the community royalties being staked/invested and only a portion of the profits being redistributed each week, the community fund should grow over time and bring increasing rewards for the APES holders.

As GLMR APES become more valuable, and the treasury grows, we could also imagine a regular drop to all holders on top of the lottery system to make all our APES extra happy!

Long Live the Apemocracy! (DAO)

The perks of owning GLMR APES are not limited to earning your share of the community fund profits! It also gives you a voice in the project and on how it should be run!

All the Ape owners have been welcomed to join the Happy Apes Club in our Discord in order to set up together the first Moonbeam DAO.

The Club is a place where GLMR APES can hang out, chill and share their bananas, but also get to discuss and debate over the next implementations they would like to see in the project.

Among other things, Ape owners help set and write proposals related to the number of lottery winners and how much % of the profits should be redistributed among them.

The proposals will be voted on-chain through Snapshot (we requested them to start supporting Moonbeam network, which should be done soon as they're already operating on Moonriver). For each APE you own, you get one vote ( 1 APE = 1 vote).

APES with APES go strong!

We are now in the early days of the project and there are still many things we'd like to build with you! We are considering the following things to keep on building our community :

First, we want to start running our weekly lottery system. We will soon vote (with Snapshot) on how many APES will be sharing the pot and how much they should get. (We're considering having 50 APES winning 2-3 GLMR each and having the first draw in a few days).

As we are lacking some tools to go 100% on-chain, we will make the lottery code publicly available on Github. We will run the code once a week to pick the GLMR APES winners during a live stream session. It will allow anyone to monitor the transparency of the whole process. We will keep on looking for on-chain solutions to automatize the process as soon as possible.

Once the lottery starts operating on a regular basis, we will reach out to Moonbeam and ask whether they could consider an official partnership to be listed as one of the official Moonbeam NFT.

On top of that, as we want to make our APE community more visible, we're also working on establishing partnerships/friendships/colab’s with popular Singular NFT collections.

We are also trying to figure out ways to tag along the Moonsamaverse (maybe through APES Skins) and plan on reaching out to DOTSAMA celebrities to bring awareness on the GLMR APES.

With a strong community, we will be able to move on to more interesting and exciting steps such as implementing NFT staking, working on a second generation of NFT and eventually even build a game where the best users could win a share of the profits made by the community fund.

All Apes get from one to five bananas based on how rare they are. The more bananas, the rarer the Ape !

The distribution ratio of all Apes is the same:

20% of the APES have 1 🍌
20% of the APES have 2 🍌🍌

20% of the APES have 4 🍌🍌🍌🍌
20% of the APES have 5 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌

The numbers of Bananas of your Ape doesn't matter for now but it could have an impact on later stages of the project, if the community decided. Choose wisely!
