Astar Network at the @teamz_inc Summit - Highlights!

Sota Watanabe took part in the TEAM WEB3 Summit held in Tokyo, Japan, where he delivered a keynote speech on “Crypto Asset Forecast: Outlook to 2025 and Beyond.” The panel discussion featured notable industry figures, including Sota Watanabe, Founder of ASTAR NETWORK (@Sota_Web3); James Wo, Founder & CEO of DFG (VC) (@realjameswo); and Betty Wang, CEO Assistant & Marketing at JSQAURE. Their insights and discussions undoubtedly provided attendees with valuable perspectives on the future of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

Sota emphasized that despite the presence of global giants like Sony and Toyota in Japan, the country has lagged in the development of Web2 compared to the advancements seen in the USA, China, and Korea over the last few decades. However, Japan is now at the forefront of Web3, with regulators actively discussing fiscal policies and encouraging the adoption of Web3 technologies. This shift presents numerous opportunities for growth and innovation within the country’s tech landscape, symbolized by the rising flag of Japan on the global stage.

Another highlight of the event was the Astar Hackathon Demo Day, where eight finalists showcased their developed projects. This platform provided an opportunity for innovators to exhibit their creativity and technical skills, presenting solutions that could potentially shape the future of the blockchain ecosystem. The Demo Day not only celebrated the culmination of hard work and dedication but also fostered collaboration and idea exchange within the vibrant community of developers and enthusiasts gathered at the event.

Another highlight of the event was the #Astar Hackathon Demo Day, where eight finalists showcased their developed projects.

Masaaki Taira, a government official serving as a Member of the House of Representatives, former Vice-Minister of the Cabinet, and president of web3PT at the Headquarters for the Promotion of Digital Society, as well as the chairman of the Web3 and AI project of the Liberal Democratic Party, delivered the keynote address and opening remarks at the event.

More than 60 companies from around the world involved in Web3/AI participated in the event, with government leaders also in attendance, reinforcing Japan's strength in the Web3 sphere and its intention to lead this global movement.
